Foreign Policy Talks (FPT) is growing, and we’re looking for committed, curious, and driven individuals to join our Board as we expand our work in fostering youth dialogue on foreign policy, regional cooperation, and global affairs. As a Board Member, you will work closely with our core team to strengthen FPT’s operations, engage with partners, and contribute meaningfully to policy conversations across the Indo-Pacific and beyond.
We are currently recruiting for three positions:

Oversee the onboarding and integration of new members and volunteers.
Maintain organizational records, documentation, and internal workflows.
Support coordination across divisions to ensure deadlines and deliverables are met.
Help foster a collaborative and positive organizational culture.
External Engagement Officer
Responsible for managing FPT’s relationships with partners, institutions, and external stakeholders.
Build and maintain partnerships with universities, think tanks, youth organizations, and other relevant institutions.
Liaise with co organizers and external partners on joint programs and events.
Represent FPT in meetings, collaborations, and networking opportunities.
Support outreach initiatives to expand FPT’s network and visibility.
Coordinate with sponsors and institutional partners where appropriate.
Assist in preparing partnership proposals and engagement materials.
Policy Monitoring Officer
Responsible for tracking policy developments and producing analysis relevant to FPT’s focus areas.
Monitor key policy, geopolitical, and regional developments, including ASEAN and Indo-Pacific affairs.
Identify and flag emerging issues and trends relevant to FPT's programming.
Compile concise updates and summaries to keep the team informed of relevant developments.
Support the research and content team by providing timely inputs for conferences, publications, and discussion sessions.
Coordinate with the research and content team to ensure monitoring efforts align with FPT's ongoing priorities.
Contribute to strengthening FPT's reputation as a youth platform for substantive policy dialogue.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands on experience in organizational leadership, policy research, and international engagement while working alongside a passionate community of young people committed to advancing conversations on foreign policy and regional cooperation.
Board Members will also gain direct exposure to FPT’s flagship initiatives, including the IR for Business Academy, India–ASEAN Youth Conference, and China–ASEAN Youth Dialogue, while building valuable networks with young professionals, scholars, policymakers, and practitioners across the region.
