Foreign Policy Talks Monthly Discussion | Reforming the UN: Where Do We Start?

As the United Nations (UN) faces growing questions over its effectiveness, legitimacy, and capacity to address global challenges, institutional reform has become increasingly urgent. With a new Secretary-General set to assume office in 2027, this October edition of Foreign Policy Talks’ monthly discussions, held in recognition of UN Month, will explore the future of the UN beyond its incoming leadership.
The discussion will examine key reform priorities, institutional effectiveness, and how the organisation can remain relevant, representative, and effective amid an evolving international order.
