On 20 October 2025, the Jakarta Foreign Policy Analyst Circle (JFPAC) held the first breakfast discussion with Dirgayuza Setiawan, Special Assistant to the President of the Republic of Indonesia, in collaboration with the Indonesian Business Council (IBC) and Foreign Policy Talks (FPT) under the theme of “One Year of President Prabowo’s Foreign Policy.”

Together with Indonesia’s leading foreign policy analysts, practitioners, and thinkers, the discussion explored the Indonesian government’s current approach to foreign policy, highlighting the President’s diplomatic priorities, strategic direction, and decision-making process in managing Indonesia’s international engagement during President Prabowo’s first year in office.

The discussion covered a wide range of topics, with an emphasis on President Prabowo’s recent visits and diplomatic engagements with his international counterparts. Participants also shared insights and questions on the issues of climate change, defense, international agreements, and national priorities. Filled with lively exchange, banter, and Mr. Dirgayuza’s perspectives, the conversation offered an insightful window into the direction of Indonesia’s foreign affairs.

Mr. Dirgayuza highlighted the key figures and milestones achieved by the Presidency over the past year. He further emphasized the administration’s commitment to fostering collaboration and teamwork in advancing foreign policy, rather than working in silos.
