The second session of the IR for Business Academy, titled “From Global Insights to Business Ideas: Lessons from a Young Entrepreneur,” was truly an inspiring and insightful discussion featuring Wafa Taftazani, Co-Founder of VCGamers, ModalRakyat, and UpBanx, hosted by Jason Riady from Foreign Policy Talks.
During the session, Wafa shared his experiences in building and scaling companies within Indonesia’s rapidly evolving digital and technology landscape. As a young entrepreneur with a background in international relations, he reflected on how global perspectives, geopolitical awareness, and cross sector understanding can become valuable assets in navigating today’s business environment.
Beyond discussing entrepreneurship and the tech industry, the session also encouraged participants to think more critically about the relationship between global developments and business opportunities.
